Satellite operator SES continued to grow its European business both operationally and financially during the first quarter.
Revenues increased by 3.7% year-on-year to €240.3 million. Satellite capacity increased by 32 transponders thanks to the addition of Astra 1F at 55° East and Astra 1N at 28.2° East. Utilisation increased by 22 transponders, resulting in an overall utilisation rate of 89.5%.
SES reported total revenues of €450.2 million, up 5.1%. EBITDA was up 4.9% to €337.3 million.
