Sony hires channel sales chief for CE, opens Polish office

Sony Pictures Television Networks has hired Hubert Drabik as its first head of sales for the Central Europe region.

Drabik joins SPT’s channels division in the region from MTG-owned broadcaster Viasat and prior to that was country manager for HBO Poland. In his SPT role he will be responsible for all sales activity for SPT’s channel portfolio in the region, managing a team of country sales managers. SPT Networks has also opened an office in Poland for the first time and said it has plans to open more territory offices soon.

Drabik will report to John Rossiter, general manager, SPT Networks Central Europe. Announcing the expansion, Rossiter said, “With a strong portfolio of well known brands, growing investment in digital and increased local commissioning, now is the right time to get closer to clients and audiences with greater local presence.”
