The popular Russian video website RuTube has struck a deal with telco MegaFon for CDN services across the country.
RuTube has seen a doubling of usage over the past year, making considerable demands on bandwidth. With the majority of content based in Moscow, the website had a need to deliver video content more efficiently to Russia’s remote regions.
MegaFon began building a nationwide CDN infrastructure last year, with 13 points of presence in Russia’s largest cities.
