Members of YouTube’s partner programme can now provide live content on a pay-per-view basis after the video streaming website added new functions to its service.
Content creators in North America, the UK, Japan and France who are part of the partner programme and providing coverage of live streamed events can set different prices for access to their videos. YouTube attracts about 160 million video views per month.
