Technicolor content delivery network spin-off Broadpeak has completed the acquisition of its core software technology from Technicolor in exchange for a minority stake in the company.
The company said the move would enable it to further broaden its open ecosystem of partners.
“Today marks the final step in Broadpeak’s spin-off process from Technicolor,” said Jacques Le Mancq, president and CEO, Broadpeak. “Acquiring core technology from Technicolor will provide Broadpeak with the proper assets to develop our leadership in content delivery network solutions and accelerate our innovation programmes.”
