Revenues from IPTV services in Europe will top US$3 billion (€2.3 billion) in 2013, according to new research from Informa Telecoms & Media, publisher of DTVE. It predicts that US$2.68 billion will come from IPTV services in western Europe and a further US$506 million from those in the east of the continent next year.
Western European IPTV revenues will steadily increase thereafter, reaching US$3 billion in 2014 and US$3.2 billion in 2015. In eastern Europe the totals will be US$617 million and US$747 million across the same period.
Global IPTV revenues will be US$8.54 billion next year, US$9.77 billion in 2014 and US$10.92 billion in 2015.
