Interactive TV technology specialist Rovi is to license its interactive programme guide to Sony under a new agreement between the pair.
Sony will use Rovi’s guide to enable a range of products and services, including online content delivery services and a full range of home and mobile devices.
“We are pleased that the relevance of our entertainment related products and intellectual property continue to be recognized by industry leaders such as Sony,” said Matt Milne, executive vice-president, worldwide sales and marketing, Rovi. “In use to enable a variety of advanced consumer experiences on multiple screens, our IP and product portfolio is helping our customers drive customer satisfaction and new streams of revenue.”
