A+E Networks has appointed Christopher Barry as managing director, international strategy and digital media.
Based in New York and reporting to Sean Cohan, senior vice-president, international for A+E Networks, Barry will develop the division’s strategic initiatives in partnership with executives around the world and cultivate new growth opportunities, including investments and partnerships. He will also oversee international digital operations, including the execution of B2B and B2C websites, as well as driving international digital distribution, negotiating deals with A+E Networks’ broadband, mobile and VOD partners.
“We’ve found a star ‘athlete’ in Christopher and warmly welcome him to the A+E Networks’ team,” said Cohan. “Digital and strategy are important to all our businesses and Christopher holds a unique set of skills and experiences that will be crucial to A+E Networks’ continued commercial development internationally.”
Barry joins A+E Networks from Sundance Channel where he was senior vice-president, digital media and business strategy.
