Hungary’s Office of the National Media and Infocommunications Authority (NMHH) has estimated that the country was home to 3.2 million TV subscriber households at the end of January.
The number is based on the figures that show the country’s top 12 service providers had 2.84 million TV subs between them. By the end of the month, those operators had attracted 1.7 million digital TV subs, up from 1.6 million at the end of November, representing 59.1% of total customers. That number is up from 54.1% a year earlier. Digital cable and IPTV subscribers numbered 701,071, up from 677,000 at the end of November, while digital DTH services were taken by 923,284 customers and 52,505 took DTT services from Antenna Hungaria.
