My TV chooses Conax

Sub-Saharan African pay TV service My TV has extended its relationship with Conax to supply content security. 

Nigeria-based My TV has extended its six-year relationship with Conax and has committed to deploying a Conax chipset pairing solution for its satellite platform. Chipset pairing creates an additional barrier to content theft ensuring defined content is only released to consumer devices supporting the chipset pairing key, according to Conax.

The company says that the technology provides protection against control word distribution by offering a secured channel between smart card and chip.
