Russian state broadcasting organization RTRS has signed a deal with set-top manufacturer Humax to provide DVB-T2 MPEG-4 compatible digital receivers in Russia.
Humax will manufacture boxes in Russia and supply devices through retailers, as well as providing after-sales service.
Other companies that have expressed their willingness to participate in Russia’s DVB-T2 rollout include General Satellite and Kaon, as well as various Russian and Chinese companies.
