Connect TV, the platform that brings OTT content to the UK’s Freeview platform, has begun streaming the Racing UK channel, taking the total number of channels it offers to 45.
Connect TV’s MHEG-powered platform uses the D-Book streaming extensions that were originally designed to support catch-up TV services and works on all Freeview HD devices with an Ethernet connection. As well as Racing UK, the platform offers sports channel Sports Tonight Live, a bouquet of channels from Chinese broadcaster CCTV as well as various French, Greek, Polish and Turkish-language channels from the Vision TV Network.
The services are available via four of the seven Freeview EPG slots that Connect TV operates.
