BSkyB is increasing the amount it spends on its arts and culture channel Sky Arts three fold. The UK pay TV operator said that the added investment will allow it broaden the range of content on the channel.
It will also have a new look and overall brand identity. Upcoming programmes on the channel include stage plays series Playhouse Presents and a new version of arts magazine series The South Bank Show, which was previously broadcast on free-to-air channel ITV.
