Sky Deutschland will bring movies including The King’s Speech, Sucker Punch and The Smurfs to iPhones and iPod Touches this spring. The German pay TV operator is making its Sky Movies On Demand service available on the Apple devices via its Sky Go multiscreen platform.
Sky Go launched in April 2011 offering various programming via the web on computers and the Xbox 360 games console, as well as on Apple devices via 3G and WiFi. This spring, Sky will begin offering movies from Warner, Sony, Fix, Disney and various independent studios to iPhone and iPod touch users.
“Sky stands for great content and exciting innovations,” said Brian Sullivan, CEO of Sky Deutschland. “Our customers are increasingly mobile and they want to have the same movie experience we offer them at home.”
