Russian pay TV operator NTV Plus is launching a new free-to-air starter pack to attract subscribers.
The package, which will be available via Eutelsat’s W4 and W7 satellites, will comprise 14 channels encompassing sports, news, entertainment, educational and kids programming. The inclusion of sports content is designed to differentiate it from similar rival offerings, according to NTV Plus.
Viewers can sign up for a one-off fee of RUB600 (€15) and have the option to upgrade to additional pay services including the Kinodrom movie service and pay-per-view sports.
The free starter package will comprise channels Pervyĭ Kanal, Rossiya-1, Rossiya-2, Rossiya-K, Rossiya-24, Kanal 5, Karusel, NTV, NTV-Plus Sport Soyuz, TNT, CTC, Zakon TV, Disney Channel and Muz TV.
