Russian pay TV provider Tricolor has dropped its satellite internet offering due to lack of customer take-up.
Tricolor previously offered internet services under the Tricolor-Internet brand. It will cease accepting monthly fees for the service after February 24 and will shut the service down one month after that date.
Tricolor said the service had attracted fewer than one tenth of one per cent of its overall subscriber base. PR director Anna Sopova said that the company was considering other ways of providing internet services to customers, possibly including a partnership model.
