Kids channel Megamax launches on UPC Direct

Chello Central Europe’s kids channel Megamax has launched on the UPC Direct DTH platform in Hungary.

The deal means it will reach 1.2 million homes in the country and will also be carried on some cable systems in the country.

“Megamax is a real treat for young boys offering a 15 hour daily run of the very best in sports, infotainment, and top series from major productions houses,” said Levente Málnay, CEO of Chello Central Europe. “Following our agreement with UPC Direct, which also includes providing the signal to other cable operators, Megamax can now fall in the same league as its sister channel, Minimax, which targets younger children.”
