Websites offering adult on-demand video must block access to their sites to children, UK VOD regulatory body ATVOD has ruled.
ATVOD said that adult VOD site Bootybox.tv had breached its regulations by allowing under-18s to have unrestricted access to a selection of hardcore pornographic video promos and trailers featuring real sex in explicit detail and by permitting access to full-length videos to anyone who paid the required fee.
ATVOD issued an enforcement notification requiring Bootybox.tv to ether remove the content from its service or put it all behind effective access controls. The service has now ceased operation.
