African pay TV operator DStv has launched a mobile TV service in Nigeria.
The company has launched Walka, which allows subscribers to watch 15 channels via DVB-H. The service will initially be available in 10 cities before being rolled out to the wider country. Existing subscribers must pay NGN17,500 (€83) for a new device but pay no monthly cost, while non-DStv subscribers can pay for 11 channels for NGN680 per month or 14 channels for NGN1,680 per month.
