HD football for Ukraine

The Ukrainian Media Group is to launch an HD version of its channel Football in time for the Euro2012 football tournament, to be held this year in Poland and Ukraine.

Followng the tournament, the channel will air matches from the major European championships that can currently be seen via its Football Plus channel.

Fedor Ogarkov, CEO of the Ukrainian Media Group, said that the channel would show 15 matches and the final in HD. Football HD will be available on cable operator Volia’s service on a permanent basis.
