African online television channel Afro TV is launching in the UK later this year.
The digital station will launch on March 31 and will aim to promote African talent, particularly local musicians and filmmakers. It will air programmes including a Zimbabwean and southern African entertainment show, African music shows, gospel shows, movies and documentaries. The channel was set up by Zimbabwean businessman Sibongile Tendai Tamia Rukazhanga.
