Euronews launches on DTT in Greece and Cyprus

News channel Euronews has launched on digital-terrestrial TV in Greece and Cyprus, targeting full nationwide coverage in both countries by the end of this year.

In Greece, Euronews in English is available to four million people in Attica, including Athens, and Thessaloniki. Greek public broadcaster ERT plans to offer free-to-air transmission of the channel as part of its national digital TV rollout.

In Cyprus, the English version of the channel is available on public broadcaster the CYBC’s platform, alongside CYBC-1, CYBC-2, CYBC-HD and ERT-World. The platform will cover 99% of the population by March.
