KIT Digital provides XBox apps for UK broadcasters

TV technology provider KIT Digital is providing technology to support delivery of services, including voice and motion controlled applications, to the XBox Live platform by UK broadcasters Channel 4 and Channel 5.

The company will also soon provide XBox applications for Foxtel Australia and Prisa TV in Spain. A major broadcaster and a large cable operator in the UK have also contracted KIT Digital to guide the development of their Xbox implementations, the company said.

The applications were built using the KIT digital Connected Device Framework, which simplifies the integration of new devices to the KIT video platform, according to the company.
