Samsung teams up with Skype for inTouch camera

Samsung Techwin has used the CES show to unveil its inTouch camera system, which will allow users of HD TVs to communicate with friends and relatives via Skype as well as access connected TV services.

The inTouch camera is to be sold with a TV webcam and keyboard and features an internet browser. It includes a 720p HD video output for services, allowing flatscreens to be converted into connected TVs.

The inTouch also comes with apps including YouTube and Google News and Weather. Navigation is enabled with the inclusion of a palm-sized QWERTY keyboard.

The Samsung inTouch will be available in the US in March 2012 and will retail for $199.99 (€156).
