UPC acquires Kreuzlingen operator

Swiss cable operator UPC Cablecom has acquired the network in the region of Kreuzlingen from the private shareholders of Stadtantenne Kreuzlingen.

Stadtantenne Kreuzlingen has been a partner of UPC cablecom since 1989. UPC said customers would be unaffected by the takeover and in the future will be offered various advanced services, including video-on-demand and an expanded range of digital TV channels.

UPC said the proceeds from the sale of the shares would be used to invest in updating the network’s digital communication infrastructure.
