France based over-the-top video technology provider Httv has chosen Nokia’s Qt UI and application framework to offer advanced UI features on its httvBOX set-top box solution.
According to Httv, Qt enables the deployment of httvBOX on various chipsets without additional development.
“We are very enthusiastic about Nokia’s Qt technology and the results we achieved with our own turnkey STB solution. Qt is a very efficient development framework shortening the crucial time-to-market factor. We now intend to build a strong and lasting partnership with Nokia”, said Philippe Tommasi, Httv’s sales director for EMEA and Latin America: “Indeed, the cross-platform code of Qt and its intuitive approach leverages Httv’s responsiveness to clients’ requirements.”
The httvBOX will be on show at the Nokia Qt stand at the CES show.
