CFoot, the TV channel set up by the French Professional Football League (LFP) had 330,000 subscribers at the end of October, according to LFP president Frédéric Thirez.
CFoot is available as an à la carte service for €4 a month. However, the channel’s head, Jean-Michel Roussier, this week was quoted in La Tribune newspaper as saying that relations with pay TV operator Canal Plus were “a daily struggle”.
While the channel is available on the digital-terrestrial platform, it has not been available within CanalSat’s mini-bouquet on the platform, and recently signed up to TF1’s new Lib’Télé pay service.
The LFP has set a target of 3.5 million subscribers by 2014, including 700,000 on digital-terrestrial.
