Canal Plus wins Champions League rights

Canal Plus has won the fifth and final package of UEFA Champions League broadcast rights for the 2012-15 seasons.

The package acquired by Canal Plus consists of 13 ‘first-pick’ live matches as well as the UEFA Champions League magazine programme. Each match will be broadcast live on Canal Plus, with the Saturday Final and the weekly magazine show being broadcast on a free-to-air basis.

Al Jazeera was last week awarded the rights to the other four packages for France.
