Belgian cable operator Telenet has secured the rights to show all football matches from the country’s Jupiler League from next season, according to various Belgian press reports.
Telenet, which had earlier secured non-exclusive rights to a limited number of games, will pay a reported additional €4.8 million a year on top of the €60 million it has already committed to secure rights to show the remaining games.
Rival telecom operator Belgacom will continue to broadcast Saturday matches until 2014 under its current contract.
