Russian quad-play service provider MTS has grown its domestic pay TV subscriber base by 4% year-on-year to end September with 2.741 million customers.
The company’s fixed broadband base grew by 3.8% in the same period to 2.032 million.
MTS recently acquired Tatarstan cable TV leader TVT for US$162.9 million (€120.7 million). During the third quarter it also acquired Tula cable operator Altair for RUB680 million (€16.2 million) and launched mobile TV services in Russia.
MTS’s third quarter revenues were up 4.7% to US$3.275 billion, and consolidated OIBDA was up 10.5% to US$1.44 billion.
