Longstanding MGM channels chief Bruce Tuchman has left the studio to head up the international channels division of AMC Networks.
He is now president, AMC/Sundance Channel Global having been president of MGM Worldwide Networks since 2001.
US MSO Cablevision spun off its cable channels business earlier this year, creating AMC Networks. The NASDAQ-listed company comprises the US and international versions of AMC, IFC, IFC Entertainment, Sundance Channel, WEtv and Wedding Central. Tuchman will be based in New York and report to AMC Networks COO Ed Carroll. In the new role he will oversee carriage, distribution deals and marketing for the international channels.
Carroll said: “Bruce bring tremendous experience successfully launching networks and growing existing businesses throughout the world, making him an ideal executive to maximise our growth opportunities in key regions internationally.”
