US streaming and rental service Netflix has renewed its programming deal with US network ABC.
The agreement, inked with ABC Television Group, allows Netflix to offer new and library shows from the network’s content arm, including every episode of Desperate Housewives, Grey’s Anatomy, Lost and Ugly Betty. It will also offer kids series from Disney Channel including Phineas and Ferb and Hannah Montana.
New and upcoming series in the deal include ABC Family’s Switched at Birth. ”The diverse but always excellent programming from the different channels and networks are favorites of our members and we are thrilled to broaden the scope and extend the terms or our relationship,” said Ted Sarandos, chief content officer, Netflix.
