Spanish pay TV platform Canal Plus, which was recently rebranded from Digital Plus, ended September with 1.83 million subscribers.
The Prisa-owned operator added 7,000 DTH customers in the third quarter, compared to a net loss of 18,630 in the second quarter and a loss of 20,788 in the third quarter of 2010. Wholesale subscribers numbered 56,318 by the end of September, compared with just 8,000 a year earlier.
The number of iPlus DVR subscribers reached 495,992 at the end of September, up by 154,613 from December 2010. Multiplus multiroom subscribers numbered 226,566 compared to 104,000 a year earlier.
