The German cartel office has extended its review into Liberty Global’s proposed takeover of German cabler Kabel BW. Liberty, meanwhile, has offered unspecified concessions to help push the deal through.
The cartel office will issue its preliminary review of the deal within days, after which Liberty and Kabel BW can make an official response. The deadline for the final verdict on the deal has, meanwhile, been put back by just over a month until mid-December.
Liberty, which already owns Unitymedia, has agreed a €3.2 billion deal for the German MSO.
