Dutch digital TV penetration passes 70%

By the end of June, 72% of Dutch TV subscribers took a digital subscription, with Ziggo the largest player, followed by UPC and KPN. The figures come from communication regulator OPTA’s quarterly Market Monitor.

The number of digital cable subscribers reached 3.2 million at the end of the second quarter, up from 2.7 million a year earlier. During the same period, analogue cable subscriber numbers dipped to 2.1 million from 2.7 million.
