A year on from France 24’s launch of its 24-hour Arabic channel, the news broadcaster is celebrating various landmarks for the channel.
In Tunisia, France 24 has become the second most widely watched international news channel by opinion leaders on a daily basis after Al Jazeera, according to Tunisian institute Sigma Conseil, and the third most widely watched by the population as a whole. In Libya, the channel has a daily audience rating of 4.3% of opinion leaders.
France 24 said 350 million people worldwide can access its Arabic channel via cable, satellite or IPTV.
