Middle Eastern channel operator Dubai Media (DMI) has struck a deal with Samsung that will see its bouquet of channels launch directly on Samsung connected TVs.
The deal will see channels including Dubai TV, Dubai Sports, Dubai One, Noor Dubai Radio & TV and Emirates 24/7 launch via the connected television sets across the Middle East, North Africa and Turkey.
The deal is the first time that Arabic content will be streamed directly through Samsung’s Smart TV sets.
“Dubai Media is always in pursuit of channeling its content through new media outlets. Smart TV being one of the latest introduction to the market, we made sure that we take up this opportunity and allow our users to experience the way they watch television altogether,” said Faisal Abdalla, chief executive, corporate support, DMI.
