Russian free-to-air broadcaster STS Media’s content is to be offered on-demand on a paid-for basis as part of VimpelCom’s pay TV offering, according to local reports.
VimpelCom’s Beeline TV subscribers, paying RUB90 (€2) a month, will be able to access STS Media’s content, including top series aired by the channel. Modern Times Group-backed STS Media’s new media chief Anna Treneva said that the company intended to do similar deals with other pay TV operators.
