Hungarian service providers had 1.572 million digital subscribers in total at the end of August, according to the latest survey by regulator NMHH.
Out of 3.8 million TV homes, some 3.2 million took some form of subscription service at the end of August, according to the NMHH, with 56.8% of those now taking digital services, very slightly up on the previous month’s tally of 56.4%.
Some 636,000 cable and IPTV subscribers took digital services, while about 900,000 satellite homes took digital.
Among service providers surveyed across all technologies, UPC was the market leader, with a share of 26%, followed by Digi with 23.3% and Magyar Telekom with 21.7%.
