Boxing promoter Frank Warren is launching a boxing channel – BoxNation – after striking a deal with pay TV platform BSkyB.
The channel will initially be free-to-air but will become a £10 (€11) per month subscription channel by the end of the year. The channel will air two live championship promotions per week as well as magazine shows and classic fights from the likes of Muhammad Ali, Mike Tyson, and Sugar Ray Leonard.
“It’s a big challenge in my career, but I’m really excited by BoxNation and it takes me back to my early years when I was at ITV doing a show a week,” said Warren.
