Liberty Global honours Horizon partners

Liberty Global has awarded a group of eleven partners behind the development of its soon-to-be-launched connected set-top Horizon with the Best Innovation/Breakthrough Supplier prize at its annual Vendor Awards.

Samsung, NDS, Intel, Philips, Metrological, Celeno, Nagravision, Intellicore, ThinkAnalytics, EventIS and RedBee were collectively honoured “due to the exceptionally strong collaboration on this breakthrough product suite,” said Liberty Global. Last week, CEO Mike Fries revealed that Horizon would launch first on UPC Netherlands’ network in the first quarter of next year before being launched on UPC Cablecom in Switzerland and Unitymedia in Germany soon after.

The company also awarded Best Account Management to Cisco; Best Product and Service Quality to Pace; and Best Support and After Sales to Arris.
