Tedial updates content management software suite

Asset management specialist Tedial will unveil enhancements to its suite of content management software solutions at IBC.

Tedial has updated Ficus, its business process manager, to include increased integration to third-party systems including traffic and automation. This allows new workflows to be triggered using XML messaging, allowing broadcasters to take advantage of legacy systems when required. Ficus’s grid computing supports the management of over 3,500 workflows.

The latest version of Tedial’s media process manager supports ingest of high-resolution formats such as DNxHD and XDCam directly into an Avid environment. At IBC, the company will show how metadata can be ingested and edited directly into Avid Interplay using its Tedial Capture client.  The media process manager automatically detects the aspect ratio of a video file that it’s processing and is able to handle video files with multiple audio tracks. It can move media and metadata to and from Interplay either automatically or manually performing any required rewrapping on-the-fly.

The latest version of Tedial’s media asset management system with integrated HSM software includes a web-based administration GUI for managing database data models. Administrators can access tools via any PC to manage data repositories, create folders for cataloguing and specialised metadata fields, thesaurus and multi-language dictionaries. It also allows administrators to manage multiple users’ access rights profiles. The web-based administration GUI provides tools for system auditing enabling the administrator to check logs and review activities. Administrators can filter information by user, date and specific services.

Tedial will be exhibiting at IBC on Stand 8.B41
