Facebook app for Elion

Estonian service provider Elion plans to introduce a Facebook application for its nutiTV IPTV service.

Elion said it hoped that the app, developed during the Garage48 mobile technology event (where developers are encouraged to produce new applications and services over a 48-hour period) in Tartu at the weekend, would be made available to all nutiTV customers over the next few weeks, depending on an agreement being reached with Facebook. The app allows users to watch a Facebook newsfeed on their TV screens and to share pictures with other users.
