TechnoTrend Görler to showcase range of hybrid products

Kathrein Group subsidiary TechnoTrend Görler will use IBC to showcase technologies around connected TV, IPTV, HbbTV, video on demand as well as DVB-T2.

Available in Germany since July, the first HbbTV Twin HD receiver TT-micro S855 HbbTV with HD+ InterAktiv will be followed this winter by the TT-select S865 HbbTV and the TT-select S955 HbbTV PVR with a built-in 500 Gigabyte hard
drive. These products simultaneously stream live TV by UPnP-AV to other TTG digital receivers around the home without requiring an aerial connection.

These satellite receivers can also be used to receive internet-based media offerings such as HbbTV, YouTube and the HD+ InterAktiv HDPI portal.
The company will also showcase, in cooperation with several partners, the TT-micro IPC831, a hybrid digital receiver for DVB-C, IP and BeeSmart middleware with a built-in VOD solution, and the TT-select S928 HD PVR. The HD-Sat twin receiver’s Logiways Push VOD services download films to its built-in hard drive. The user can download and play these films from a VOD portal.

Also on show will be the DVB-T2-/DVB-C models TT-micro TC821 HDTV and TT-micro TC941 HD PVR lined up. These are digital-terrestrial HD-ready and cable-ready certified and suitable for use in Scandinavian countries. Both digital receivers come with a built-in twin HD tuner, enabling the user to watch TV and record a programme or a film at the same time. Flexible archiving of TV programmes uses both an internal (PVR) and an external recording function via USB 2.0 (PVRready), according to the company.

The receivers will be available from autumn 2011.
