Maori Television upgrades with MSA Focus

Maori Television, the national indigenous broadcaster in New Zealand, is updating its facilities with broadcast management software MSA Focus ForeTV broadcast management system. The two companies have been working together since 2003, and the installation of ForeTV marks the third generation of MSA Focus management software for Maori TV.

The new system, a migration from Perspective, the previous generation of MSA Focus software, went live in June. It allows Maori TV to take advantage of new opportunities such as launching new broadcast and online.

“This project means a great deal to us,” said Mark Evans, CEO of MSA Focus. “Building long-term relationships with our users helps us refine our systems, as well as getting to know the precise needs of our customers. Implementing a third generation system clearly shows the strength of our customer service and support packages as well as the ability of ForeTV to deliver the functionality that broadcasters need.”
ForeTV is built on a Windows platform and is designed to handle media, rights and asset management through to planning and scheduling to advertising sales and playlist generation. The latest enhancements, demonstrated at IBC, use Windows Presentation Foundation to allow users to establish the look and feel they require at each workstation while still protecting the core data.
