MTS acquires FTTB operators

Russian service provider MTS Group has acquired four companies providing broadband and TV services via fibre-to-the-building networks in the Tula region in southern Russia, according to local reports.

The services, which operate under the Altair brand, were acquired for RUB680 million (€16 million) including debt. According to the reports, the hold a 72% of the local cable TV market and a 22% share of the broadband market.
