Private-equity investor Carlyle Group has completed the acquisition of French set-top provider Sagemcom from Gores Group.
Carlyle Group has acquired 70% of the capital of Sagemcom for an undisclosed sum, with the remainder being held by the company’s existing management and employees.
Sagemcom reported revenues of €1.4 billion last year. The company has 6,000 employees around the world.
Sagemcom announced in June that its owners had entered into exclusive negotiations to sell to Carlyle Group via Carlyle Europe Partners.
