Sundance launches in Greece and CEE

Sundance Channel has secured carriage in Greece and a trio of territories in central and eastern Europe for the first time.

The AMC Networks-operated channel, which was created by movie star Robert Redford, will launch on the 24/7 in Greece, the IPTV service operated by the country’s largest telco, OTE. A Sundance Channel video-on-demand service will also roll out in the country.

In the CEE region, AMC Networks has secured a carriage deal with DTH service UPC Direct and the HD feed of the Sundance Channel will launch in the Czech Republic, Hungary and Slovakia.
Separately, there are new carriage deals for Sundance and female-skewed We tv in Asia. Both will launch in HD on DishHD and Chunghwa.
