Chello Zone-owned Outdoor Channel will be carried in Serbia and Ukraine after carriage deals were concluded with pay TV operators.
In Serbia, the channel will be carried on Open IPTV, the IPTV service operated by the country’s largest telco, Telekom Srbija. In Ukraine it will be on the Volia in the cabler’s HD and SD packages. It will dubbed into Russian from year-end. The channel, which showcases various outdoor activities, has widespread distribution in the US where it is in 35 million homes.
Tim MacMullen, Chello Zone’s general manager for Outdoor Channel, said: “Following hot on the heels of recent debuts for the channel in Russia and Scandinavia, our launches in Serbia and the Ukraine show we’ve got our sights firmly set on an aggressive roll out.”
