DEV introduces new time switch function

Germany-based cable technology provider DEV has introduced a time-switch function on its dual-channel universal switch chassis, the DEV 1951.

According to DEV, by using the new time switch function, the modules in the chassis can be activated autonomously and switched according to pre-defined time schedules without using the overlaying network management system. This enables the user to put on, off or through CATV, L-band or ASI signals similar to a time switch clock, following timing plans monitored via a web interface.
